Baseline Assumptions
This topic provides information about the minimum supported configuration of software and systems participants need to run Data Interchange.
Data Interchange component versions
The operation of Data Interchange components requires Java 21.
For details about changes in the latest PDR software, see EMMS Data Interchange - March 2025.
To download software, see Data Interchange.

The supported version numbers mentioned above are certified by AEMO against the installers. We do not anticipate any issues running these installers in later version of Oracle.
Support for open source database management systems
Due to multiple versions of the open source database systems being available and supported, it is difficult for AEMO to provide support for all versions widely used.
Performance issues are difficult to recreate due to hardware and other limitations.
The Data Model versions AEMO provides are database agnostic and should work with most systems. Also, if a participant raises a Support Hub call for the open source database systems, AEMO attempts to recreate the issue independently and provide as much assistance as possible, for example, issues related to queries, platform size, database tuning, indexes, or defects in AEMO application.
Please provide sufficient detail to allow replication of the problem in an independent environment. Depending on the severity of the issue this may result in one or more of the following actions:
-
For high severity issues where there is no viable workaround, a minor version patch to production software.
-
A recommendation for a configuration change or workaround to your environment.
-
Recording of a feature request for a future enhancement.
Product interoperability matrix
pdrMonitor v1.2 does not support encrypted connections. The v7.6 applications only work with pdrMonitor v1.2 when configured as unencrypted which is insecure and not recommended.
