Energy Limit Validation

The energyLimit field is optional in energy bid for a BDU Bi-directional Unit. A bi-directional unit capable of charge and discharge; for example, battery technologies. for Direction of LOAD or GEN or both directions. Not allowed for all other unit types.

If you provide this field for a BDU, the system performs the following validations:

• In all occurrences, the system validates the value format - integer minimum 0 and whole numbers.
• If you provide this value for direction LOAD, the value must be <= to registered Maximum Storage Capacity PASA Availability, as described in clause 3.7.2(d)(1) of the National Electricity Rules and the NER glossary..
• If you provide this value for direction GEN, the value must be <= to registered Maximum Storage Capacity.
• If you provide this value for direction LOAD and GEN:

• both values must be <= to registered Maximum Storage Capacity.
• Value for GEN must be < value for LOAD.
