Dispatch Bids and Offers explanation
AEMO Australian Energy Market Operator's interfaces use the terms </span> interchangeably. For participant understanding, below is the official definition of the terms.
All terms have the meaning given to them in the National Electricity Rules (NER).
Bid
Bid means an Energy The unit must be a generator for the service type: ‘energy’. Loads cannot bid for mandatory restrictions capacity. Dispatch See National Electricity Rules Bid for the Dispatch of a Scheduled Load See Relevant Rules or Procedures or a Wholesale Demand Response Demand response is a physical response at a site to the price. Unit A Scheduled, Semi-Scheduled, or Non-Scheduled Generating Unit (WDRU Wholesale Demand Response Unit).
Bid
Bid means one of the following Dispatch Bids:
- Energy (Generation Dispatch Bid)
- Frequency Control Ancillary Service (FCAS):
- Raise 1 seconds
- Raise 6 seconds
- Raise 60 seconds
- Raise 5 minutes
- Raise regulation
- Lower 1 seconds
- Lower 6 seconds
- Lower 60 seconds
- Lower 5 minutes
- Lower regulation
- Market Network Service Provider (MNSP - Network Dispatch Bid)
